Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Start Time: 2024-12-17T16:00Z ( SOHO: LASCO/C2 )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
SOHO: LASCO/C2
SOHO: LASCO/C3
STEREO A: SECCHI/COR2
Activity ID: 2024-12-17T16:00:00-CME-001 (version 1)
Note Keyword:
3P: 3-part structure CME
GAP: Data gap
HAL: Halo CME
Source Signature Keyword:
OFL: Moving/Opening field lines
Morphology Keyword:
FS: Flux Rope and Shock Candidate
Note: Fast, farsided halo CME in SOHO LASCO C2/C3. Not seen in STEREO A COR2 in real time due to a data gap starting at 2024-12-17T11:38Z. Faint, wide field line movement is seen on the southwest limb in GOES SUVI 284 at 2024-12-17T15:59Z.

Event Type Catalog
Measurement TypeCME measurement type: Leading Edge (LE), Shock Front (SH), Right Hand Boundary (RHB), Left Hand Boundary (LHB), Black/White Boundary (BW), Prominence Core (COR), Disconnection Front (DIS), Trailing Edge (TE).
Prime?"primary flag" which is either True or False. If there are multiple CME analysis entries for a single CME, this flag would indicate which analysis is considered most accurate per measurement type. This is a helpful flag if you would like to download only one most accurate CME analysis per CME per Measurement Type

CME Analysis M2M_CATALOG LE true SWPC_CAT 177.0 -16.0 3161.0 ER 44.0 2024-12-17T16:56Z Measurement based on the best fit with SOHO LASCO C3 imagery in SWPC_CAT. No STEREO A COR2 imagery was available for a measurement. This measurement primarily tracks the fainter shock feature to the south of the halo, but the leading edge of the bulk is traveling with the shock and the leading edge is indistinguishable from the shock. 1: Result 1 (2.0 AU)
2: Result 2 (5.5 AU)
